The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL), in cooperation with the DOST Regional Offices - Luzon Cluster, is set to conduct the Luzon Regional Scientific Meeting (LRSM) on 17 - 18 May 2023 in Baguio City and via Zoom and Facebook Live.
The LRSM is annually organized as part of the NAST PHL’s and DOST’s long-standing commitment of bringing science closer to the Filipino people.
This year’s RSM theme is “Agham at Teknolohiya para sa Demokrasya (Science and Technology for Democracy)” which is firmly grounded on the role of science and technology in catalyzing and advancing developmental empowerment in a democracy.
This meeting is expected to provide a venue for the discussion of relevant and timely regional concerns in Luzon, and the presentation of S&T-based recommendations. Highlighting the meeting is the series of plenary sessions on Universal Healthcare, Evidence-Based Democratic Governance and Democratic Citizenship, Strengthening Democratic Institutions, and Open Science Initiatives and The Role Of Data in Governance.
Resolutions generated from the plenary sessions will be consolidated and presented during the 45th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), which will be held on 12-13 July 2023 in Manila.
Another highlight of the LRSM is the scientific poster session that will feature the latest regional research outputs of participating higher education institutions, research centers, and government agencies.
The LRSM is FREE and open to the public. E-certificate will be given for both dates of the regional meeting upon submission of an accomplished evaluation form. Interested participants may register at bit.ly/2023LuzonRSM.
