The DOST-CAR led the establishment of the Regional Research, Development and Innovation Committee (RRDIC). As a support committee of the RDC, RRDIC coordinates and provides strategic policy directions and harmony on major R&D activities in the region and to address gaps in research, development and innovation.
The following are the R&D consortia under the auspices of the DOST:
a. Cordillera Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium (CIEERDEC)
The Cordillera Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium (CIEERDEC) is a tripartite organization of the academe, government and business sectors. This is the RDI arm of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) in the region.
Member-agencies are committed to build and strengthen their Research and Development (R&D) capabilities on industry, energy and emerging technology. Eventually, these will contribute to the overall regional and national industrial development in the context of global competitiveness.
b. Cordillera Regional Health and Development Consortium (CRHRDC)
The Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC) is a multi -sectoral organization of the academe, government planning bodies, hospital institutions, and private sectors which functions as the regional partner agency of the PCHRD, which serves as a clearing house for all health - related researches. It is a structure created to link together health researchers and institutions to facilitate health research activities attuned to regional health needs.
Through the Consortium, research and development efforts of identified sectors are properly delineated, effectively coordinated, monitored/evaluated, processed and consolidated for better dissemination/utilization, resulting to greater promotion, restoration, and maintenance of health.

c. Cordillera Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development (CorCAARRD)
It was established with the mandate to improve Agriculture and Aquatic productivity and to enhance Natural Resources development in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Based at the Benguet State University, it is one of the 14 Regional R&D Consortia that is organized and substantially supported by PCAARRD. PCAARRD established the consortia mechanism to have regional venue for planning, evaluating and sharing resources among R&D agencies in the region, to achieve the development of Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources.
CorCAARRD is committed to the conservation and appropriate utilization of the Cordillera’s resources for total development of the Agriculture and Aquatic sector stakeholders.
