December 13, 2022-- DOST-CAR received its bronze award under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME HRM). This award signifies the agency’s achievement for the Maturity Level 2 which means that the agency was able to comply with the requirements of a process-defined Human Resource Management.
With its efforts to continually improve the human resource practices, revisiting of policies on (1) Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP), (2) Learning and Development (L&D), (3) Performance Management (PM) and (4) Rewards and Recognition (R&R) were undertaken.
In the 4th quarter of CY2020, DOST-CAR was recognized under RSP and R&R, the first two (2) areas which were subjected for review by the Civil Service Commission-Cordillera Administrative Region (CSC-CAR). In the 2nd quarter of CY2022, recognitions were also received under the two (2) remaining areas, which are PM and L&D.
A step further, an assessment was conducted by the CSC-CAR on the competencies, systems and practices of the agency in June 2022. As a result, CSC Resolution Number 2200541 dated November 8, 2022 was issued to the effect.
This award transcends what DOST-CAR can do to go beyond the limits in improving its human resource management by enhancing HR competencies, upgrading its systems and refining its practices.
