Gender Responsive Programs through the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) and Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG)
As part of the Women's Month Celebration, the event discussed the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HDGD) and the integration of the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) into the program. The goal of GMEF is to support the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) members in identifying areas where they may improve to mainstream the Gender and Development (GAD) perspective inside their respective organizations.
The Harmonized Gender and Developmental Guidelines (HGDG), a set of analytical concepts and procedures, were developed to include gender-sensitive concerns in development initiatives and programs. In addition to assessing or reassessing gender development challenges, it ensures that projects and programs represent gender equality and women's empowerment. It is necessary to carry out GMEF and examine the HGDG principles to achieve gender-responsive goals. Through the orientation, the participants reached the attained outcomes, which included being able to perceive and comprehend the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) concept and subjecting the GIA guidelines to the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG).
